We’ve had a big day here this week, BBC One came to visit us! BBC Points West has been filming for a TV news feature on how people are booking more holidays last minute.
The BBC One News claimed we have ‘saved summer for many!’
Cancelled foreign holidays and flights, delays at the ports and now rail strikes are causing headaches and stress for many local holiday goers. At Motorhome Holiday Company we have seen a sharp rise in the number of last-minute enquiries and bookings for this summer. Dave Hardy, The BBC’s local business correspondent explores more in this great news piece.
We were honoured to be joined by recent and new customers Vanessa and daughter Ffion.ย Following the news that their family holiday flights were cancelled and the holiday could not go ahead at short notice, the family booked a last-minute adventure with us in August, giving us a call on Tuesday and picking up their motorhome the very next morning;
On our week off, we contacted Matt and his team on the Tuesday and we picked up the motorhome on the Wednesday morning at half past 8. We had a mini adventure. We didn’t have any hassle of airports, going across on ferries or anything like that. We really enjoyed it, didn’t we?
We’d like to note that her daughter, 10-year-old Ffion, nodded enthusiastically in agreement. She then added that she had such a good night’s sleep in the motorhome while away, despite the usual snores from mum! Safe to say she stole the spotlight.
Matt even featured on BBC Radio Bristol too
