Generally, there aren’t many limits to where you can travel in a motorhome. Our insurance covers travel throughout Western Europe, giving you the freedom to explore to your heart’s content.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that long periods of driving may not be the most relaxing holiday. Motorhomes are designed for taking your time and enjoying the journey. We recommend driving to a destination, spending a few days there to take in the scenery, and then moving on again. This way, you’ll have a more enjoyable and memorable motorhome experience.
Mileage limit
We do not set any mileage limits for our motorhome hire, however, we do ask for your travel plans for our records and security purposes.
Fuel consumption
Motorhomes can achieve high fuel economy on motorways, you can get into the high 20s or even 30 miles/gallon if you’re not trying to keep up with vehicles in the overtaking lanes. However, fuel economy drops dramatically as speed rises.
When planning your trip, aim for a 45-50 mph average when travelling, which translates to a sensible day’s distance of 250 to 350 miles. Also, consider how many days you want to spend at your destination to make the most of your trip. Sensible planning is key, so allow time for stops, food breaks, and overnight stays.

Festivals and events
Motorhomes are a great option for outdoor events like music festivals or sporting events and many of ours are available to book for these.
They offer a completely self-contained living space that provides all the comforts of home. You can take everything you need with you, from chairs to food, without worrying about carrying it for miles to your pitch site. Additionally, having your own toilet at a large event is a huge benefit. Our favourite benefit? A cold fridge for cold beers!
